On the Mount Rigi Tour, you'll take an exciting journey through the Swiss Mountains by bus, cable car and cog-wheel train. Then, stop in Lucerne for a one hour boat ride! This is a fantastic way to experience the stunning Swiss Mountains and the gorgeous city of Lucerne.

Your adventure will start with a coach drive over the Albis Pass to Weggis. From there, you will take an aerial cable car and the oldest cog-wheel train of Europe to the top of Mt. Rigi. Here, you will experience breathtaking views of the Swiss Alps and 13 lakes!

Descend Mt. Rigi by cog-wheel train before taking a charming boat ride to Lucerne. In Lucerne, you will have free time to discover the city at your leisure before a direct return to Zurich by coach.

Summary:

48 HOURS MINIMUM ADVANCE BOOKING REQUIRED.This tour does not include a hotel pickup or drop-off. Tour requires a minimum total of 5 passengers in order to depart. Rates are per person, in US dollars. Child rates apply to ages 6 through 16. Children ages 5 and under are free when sitting on an adult's lap. Reserve online, or call 800-816-3490 for reservations or more information. There is a $5.95 USD processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order.
There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges, unless otherwise specified.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

Special Schedule Notes

March 11, 2013 - April 12, 2013 & November 4-15, 2013, the aerial cable car will NOT be included. This is due to the annual aerial cable car revisions. The tour will operate with the cogwheel train ascending from Arth-Goldau. The rest of the tour remains the same.

Notes:

Tour is conducted by a multilingual guide - English, Spanish & German (excluding trip to and from Mount Rigi and during the boat ride)
Meals, optional tours, gratuities and parking fees are not included
Warm clothes, sunglasses and a pair of solid shoes are recommended
Vehicles are not wheelchair accessible

IMPORTANT:

Mountain transportation (cable cars, cog wheel railways, etc.) may close down on very short notice due to weather conditions or forecasts. If news of the closing is received before the motorcoach leaves Zurich, guests may choose to postpone to a different day, change to another mountain tour (if available), change to the Lucerne City Tour with a refund of the difference in price, or choose to not take the tour and receive a full refund. If news of the closing is received after the motorcoach has left Zurich, guests may either switch to another mountain tour (if available) or change to the Lucerne City Tour with a refund of the difference in price.
